Many illustrators I follow keep a blog at blogger,  soI've finally decided to move mine to a new address and start over!

My new blog address is : nati-art.blogspot.com/ and you can add it to your RSS feed! I've imported all the past posts from Wordpress into the new blog so it looks the same as the old one.

Enjoy!

SHOW AT VINCA MINOR GALLERY

I have been invited to submit my work to a collective illustrations/comics themed show at Vinca Minor Gallery - Sweden.
The show starts April 25th and it will be advertised at Small Press Expo in Stockholm.
I'm working on illustrations and pages from my latest comic book project: The Cloud Maiden.

That said, some weeks ago I was supposed I could start taking new private ommissions but I will spend the next weeks working on the stuff for the show. So, I have no idea when I'm available again for personal commissions but I will keep you informed about that, anyway!

Thank you!

Also forgot to ask if you put down a color first as a base and then did your work on top. Not trying to be nosy but just trying to figure out a style for myself and subject matter I'm into.

Hi, I probably wasn't looking hard enough but I wanted to ask how you go about doing your artwork. Do you put paint/watercolors down first or markers/color pencils? Plus do you draw out the picture on the surface or draw it on separate paper and draw with the medium you are working in on the surface while you are creating your image? Just out of curiosity. A charcoal and paint person myself but looking at different ways of trying to get artwork on the surface without botching up the image but keeping something lively about it. Most of my work is pretty static.

Did the illustration make it to Stockholm, despite the delayed at the airports?
All the best for the show!

I was wondering where I should start a blog and I was not sure if I should choose wordpress or blogspot. Guess I know where to go now! ;)

I hope the illustrations arrive in time! But I'm quite unlucky, recently so....
Wordpress is ok, you can manage more things than a blogspot journal, but it just seems all the illustrators I know keep a journal at blogspot instead of wordpress ^_^

Not sure my post there 'worked' it went all weird and demanded my google details then 'blinked' and left me with an empty comment box. So, love the site. It looks great and suits both you and your work! Very fresh but got that old-worlde charm going for it without being stuffy and hackneyed. Best of luck with your exhibition OK! Wish I was visiting but hopefully soon! The cats have knotted theirs tails for your good luck :P

If you have a Google account it's easier for you to follow the blog since you are notified daily about updates. Anyway, all the blog's content is public and almost written in English - well, I try ^___^ - so you can view and read the blog without following it through Google ^_^

Yeah. I managed to get it tinkered with and sorted out after posting to you. Complete with avatar of moi! :P Well I'm very impressed with your blog and site! (Hearty clapping- take a bow Nati!) Bookmarked and I will be reading your blog avidly. Considering that I also have a dead eBlog over there that I haven't used in over a year, you're an inspiration! So ... um ... yeah ... ^_^

Oh I don't know re the 'interesting' and porting over more stuff- in the words of classic movies; 'But ya are Blanche, ya are!'

I love the design. Did you design it yourself or find a template? I've had no luck finding the right thing for my blog :(

I used the Thisaway blogger template and modified a little bit its HTML code. Actually I changed very few things, like the size of the main text page and the sidebar. And uploaded new images for title/backgrounds/small icons, etc, etc. I think you can view the CSS/HTML code I used by right clicking on the blog page.
